Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing high level support to the Chief Financial Officer by assisting with administrative duties, performing data analysis across all business streams and specific project assignments. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITES:
  1. Provide reporting and data analysis throughout the organization, with a focus on vehicle traffic, toll system, and revenue generation activities.
  2. Coordinates with subcontractors, partners, or internal departments to gather data.
  3. Provide business intelligence based on analysis, including better understanding customers, debt, and revenue.
  4. Prepares customized correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business documents, etc. Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar and layout, making appropriate changes. Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy.
  5. Coordinates input, consolidates and produces executive level reports (such as monthly Corporate Board Report or memorandums summarizing data analysis).
  6. Schedules and organizes complex activities such as meetings, conferences and other department activities to facilitate business or project objectives.
  7. Acts as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies, including senior level staff such as CEOs, directors, and managers. Handles confidential and non-routine information and explains policies when necessary.
  8. Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
  9. Acts as project manager for special projects, at the request of the senior staff, which may include: planning and coordinating multiple presentations, disseminating information, research and compiling relevant information.
  10. Maintain orderly and easily accessible files.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
  
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and/or related field with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
  2. Excellent proofing skills with strong attention to detail.
  3. Ability to prepare reports, memos and emails to be distributed to professional and executive level staff.
  4. Strong analytical skills.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Must demonstrate advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
  7. Must maintain confidentiality of company information, using discretion and solid judgment.
  8. Must have excellent oral and written communications skills.
  9. Excellent organization skills, ability to set priorities and work under pressure to meet changing deadlines.
  10. Ability to obtain a VDOT Security Clearance.
  11. Ability to pass Criminal History Background Check and drug screen.
  12. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule as needed.
  13. Valid Virginia Driver’s License.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
 
Finger Dexterity:               Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.
 
Talking:                             Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
 
Average Hearing:             Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
 
Average Visual Abilities:   Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.
 
Physical Strength:            Sedentary work; sitting most of the time.  Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.  (Almost all office jobs.)

None:                                  No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions.  (Such as in a typical office.)
 
 
MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION

 
Reasoning Ability:              Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization. 
                                           Able to interpret various instructions.
                                               
Mathematics Ability:          Ability to perform basic math skills, use decimals to compute ratios and percents, and to draw and interpret graphs.
 
Language Ability:               Ability to read a variety of books, magazines, instruction manuals, atlases, and encyclopedias. 
                                          Ability to prepare memos, reports, and essays using proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
